Current Release
Version 25.A01 of the PAI/O Driver for z/OS was
shipped on January 10th, 2017. This new release provides a variety of new
features and enhancements that substantially increase the ease of use of
the PAI/O Driver for z/OS and the data it collects.
The new program features and enhancements include:
- the minimum operating system level for the execution of the PAI/O
Driver for z/OS is z/OS 1.13,
- the NUMB-DDS and DDDEF control statements have been retired. Compatability support of the control statements was provided in prior versions since the NUMB-DDX and DDDFX control statements were introduced with Version 19,,
- messages IODR059E, IODR103I, IODR104I, and IODR152W have been deleted,
- message IODR057E has been updated to reflect the retirement of the NUMB-DDS control statements,
- the execution path length for each I/O request has been optimized by placing the EXCP and VSAM specific operations into separate subtask routines,
- execution under z/OS 2.2 is now recognized and exploited, and
- support for SAS 9.1 and MXG 34.34 is provided.
In addition, the workload profiling component of the PAI/O Driver for z/OS includes
the following features and enhancements:
- execution under z/OS 2.2 is now recognized and supported, and
- support for SAS 9.1 and MXG 34.34 is provided.
Version 25.A01 of the PAI/O Driver for z/OS
is compatible with z/OS 1.13 through 2.2.
